This project-based learning unit explores the diverse individuals who make significant contributions to our local communities and societies. Through research and multimedia projects, students will develop their descriptive language skills, cultural awareness, and appreciation for civic engagement by highlighting real-life heroes and their stories. The material includes two folders in PDF format, beginner level aimed at A1/A2 CEFR ESLL or EL in native communities, students with learning/attention/behavior/mental difficulties, and the intermediate level presents a more challenging approach to the theme and more extensive student choice projects aiming at B1/B2 CEFR ESLL learners. This material is purely in English and can be used for native speakers of varying cognitive levels.
