Teach osmosis and water potential with a complete lesson pack for IGCSE Biology 0610 and O Level Biology 5090, ages 14–16.

These notes and exercises grew out of lessons I taught during my Master of Teaching assessment, where I used them to involve students and check their understanding throughout the lesson.

What’s included:

  • 43-slide PowerPoint with questions, answer reveals and an exit ticket
  • 5-page fill-in notes to complete during the lesson
  • 2-page exercise for classwork or homework
  • Teacher copies with answers
  • Editable Word worksheets and printable PDFs

Covers water potential, osmosis demonstrations, animal and plant cells, and wilting.

Some illustrations are hand-drawn, and these materials were made with care for my own students. Thank you for supporting my work and The Blissful Meow!

Please note: the percentage-water exercise uses a simplified model. Demonstration diagrams are included; a full practical investigation protocol is not.

Expanded from my original Osmosis Exercise.
