Covers the whole play!!! Great for introducing the play step by step, will save you loads of time!!!

Here is a Power Point for teaching Noughts & Crosses by Sabrina Mahfouz, designed around the Eduqas Drama specification. The aim is to make the whole text easier to teach by reducing some of the planning time involved.

The resource includes:
Extract reading in every lesson, so students work through and understand the whole play.
Checking for understanding activities, to help students secure their knowledge of the plot, characters and relationships.
Written Exercises which mirror the wording and requirements of the Eduqas exam.
Practical Exercises that encourage students to explore character, relationships and key moments through performance.
A clear sequence of activities, that can be followed by both Drama specialists and non-specialists.

The resource has grown out of my own classroom experience and the common difficulties I’ve noticed students encounter when studying the play, across different ability levels (Checking for Understanding).

Hopefully, it provides a useful starting point for teachers who want a practical, engaging and manageable way to cover the whole play, while still leaving room to adapt activities for their own students.
