Editable KS3 Spanish lesson on inviting others to places and responding to invitations, with speaking, reading and writing activities.

Suitable for Y7-8. Can be used with Viva 1 Module 5 or any towns/topic area lesson. Lesson 7 of a 7-lesson sequence.

This fully planned lesson teaches students how to invite someone somewhere in Spanish using structures such as “¿Quieres ir al cine?” and how to respond appropriately using phrases such as “sí, claro”, “vale”, “de acuerdo” and “lo siento, no puedo”. Students also revisit days of the week and telling the time in order to arrange plans and meetings.

The lesson includes a range of activities designed to build confidence in reading, speaking, listening and writing. Students practise creating and performing conversations, asking and answering questions about when and where to meet, and writing their own invitation dialogues using modelled language.

This lesson can be delivered as part of a 7-lesson towns and cities sequence, or used independently as a standalone cover or revision lesson. Clear models and structured tasks make it suitable for ECTs, supply, or departments wanting consistent delivery.
