This lesson contains:

• An activity to recap previous material, based on the last lesson in the scheme.
• An overview of the aristocracy with an activity to study a story by a fictional character, Henri, and use what he tells the students to complete an organiser to show the major changes to culture that the country went through under the Normans.
• A quick recap of Odo’s behaviour. Students then the information sheet to complete a timeline of Odo’s life. The points are already marked on the timeline, all the students have to do is annotate why his life got better or worse. There is a summery task to also note down the moments when he was at his height of his favour, and the major reasons for Odo’s downfall.
• An opportunity to do some exam practice at the end.
