Throughout the unit they will study various fables including The Tortoise and The Hare, The Fox and The Grapes, The Town and The Country Mouse and many more. Grammar covered throughout this unit includes: - Using and punctuating direct speech. - Extending their range of sentences with more than one clause. - Using conjunctions to express time or cause. To end the unit, children will have the opportunity to discuss, plan and write their own fables in depth whilst focusing on the correct structure, relevant morals, spelling accuracy and correct punctuation marks with regards to written dialogue.
