Cambridge IGCSE Sociology Paper 2 (0495) is the Family, Education and Crime exam – 80 marks, 1 hour 45 minutes, 50% of IGCSE. Candidates answer ANY TWO of three questions (Family, Education, Crime). Each question = 40 marks. Structure: (a)-(b) short knowledge (2–4 marks), ©-(d) describe/explain (4–8 marks), (e) discuss issue (8–10 marks), (f) essay both sides (12–14 marks – HIGHEST PRIORITY). AO1 Knowledge = 43%, AO2 Application = 37%, AO3 Evaluation = 20%. This guide, updated for 2028–2030 syllabus, transforms exam technique.
