Why is safeguarding so important in schools?

The Department for Education’s statutory guidance onstates that safeguarding in schools is “everyone’s responsibility”– that is, all teachers and members of staffare responsible forhelping tokeepstudents safeat school.

Supporting vulnerable andat-risk students
