32 British English multiple-choice cards for selected England Year 5 English punctuation-for-clarity consolidation, revisiting earlier list/fronted-material work and extending practice with direct address and supplementary county names. Includes three standard British date-format questions. Not a whole Year 5 curriculum or full punctuation assessment.

14 A4 pages: cover, adult guide, eight card pages (four cards each), a 32-box recording sheet, two explained key pages and terms. Card scope:13 direct-address items,5 lists,6 supplementary county names,3 dates,3 introductory words,1 opening subordinate clause and1 introductory phrase. Repeated sentence frames are deliberate practice, not32 separate concepts.

All32 source card positions, three-option order and answer letters retained. Necessary England adaptations: day–month–year dates without commas, English town/county pairs, children/rubbers, and the source’s ungrammatical “We need swim… corrected to “We need to swim… across that card’s options. Keys explain every choice.

List questions practise a pattern including an optional serial comma before and; this is accepted in British English, not compulsory in every style. The short introductory-phrase card also asks for this pack’s chosen comma pattern, acknowledging valid omission elsewhere. County prompts explicitly treat the county as supplementary information enclosed by a pair of commas. Date questions concern format, not history events.

Print pupil cards3–10 and recording11. Model the punctuation and read all three choices. Work seated, in pairs or small groups, selecting4–8 or all32 cards. Write A/B/C in the matching numbered box; discuss explanations orally or use an exercise book. Keep explained keys12–13 with the adult; accept equivalent accurate reasons and discuss valid alternative styles outside this pack. Read-aloud or enlargement support may be used; no time limit necessary.

An adult may cut cards before use; pupil cutting and lamination are not required. Adult handles cutting/lamination equipment. Optional rotation must be walking with clear routes; seated passing is sufficient. Paper grammar only, no practical experiment.

Single-classroom licence. Buyer receives one14-page PDF, also supplied alone in a PDF-only ZIP. Public preview contains cover and four uncompleted pupil cards only, with no answers or completed recording sheet.
