An introduction to Classics lesson. Could be used as a 1st or 2nd Latin lesson of the year and can be used with any Latin course.

This lesson covers:

  • What ‘Classics’ is.
  • An VERY short history of the Latin language with a printable gap fill task.
  • Why students should study classical subjects, including famous people who have studied Classics with a printable research task.
  • A focus on adressing the elitism associated with the subject and a final discussion or written task on whether ‘Classics’ as a discipline should change its name.
