Pupils will know

• The UK has four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter.
• Spring is when plants grow and baby animals are born. Summer is the warmest. Autumn is when leaves turn red, orange and brown. Winter is the coldest.
• The four seasons come in the same order every year: spring, then summer, then autumn, then winter — then back to spring.
• UK weather changes every day — it can be sunny, rainy, cloudy, windy, foggy or snowy. We can record the weather with simple symbols.
