12 scaffolded lessons covering the whole Edexcel GCSE The American West, c1835–c1895 course. Designed for SEND, EAL and lower-attaining students.

It opens with a one-page “big picture overview. Each lesson is one double-sided A4 sheet with:

key words with pictures
short reading chunks
partner talk
a graphic organiser
a quick check
scaffolded exam practice

Every period study question type is practised: explain one consequence, the narrative account and explain the importance. The support fades over the pack, and two extra practice pages at the end follow the real exam, including “choose two of three.

The design is dyslexia-friendly and follows British Dyslexia Association, EEF and Bell Foundation guidance.

Includes answers, teacher notes and editable Word versions.

Ideal for intervention, lower sets, catch-up and revision.
