A bright and accessible PEA (Point, Evidence, Analysis) classroom poster designed to support students with extended writing.

Using the memorable phrase ‘Extended Writing is Easy Pea-sy!’, this resource breaks PEA paragraphs down into three simple steps:

Point: Say it! Clearly answer the question.
Evidence: Back it! Use a relevant quotation to support the point.
Analysis: Prove it! Explain what the evidence suggests and how it supports the point.

The poster includes clear explanations, student-friendly questions and a worked example using Romeo’s description of Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. The pea-themed design makes the structure memorable without overcomplicating the language.

This resource has been designed at A1 size, making it perfect for a large classroom display. As it uses standard A-series proportions, it can also be scaled down and printed at A2, A3 or A4 while keeping the same layout and proportions. This gives you the flexibility to use it as a large wall poster, a smaller classroom display or an individual student reference sheet.

Ideal for KS3 English, particularly students who need additional scaffolding with analytical or extended writing.

Perfect for:

  • KS3 English
  • Year 7 and Year 8
  • Lower-attaining learners
  • SEND/EAL support
  • Introducing PEA paragraphs
  • Analytical writing
  • Classroom displays
  • Writing intervention and revision
