This comprehensive AQA GCE A Level History bundle explores Nazi Germany during the Second World War, 1939–45, focusing on the impact of total war and opposition.

Through a series of engaging and fully resourced lessons, students investigate how Hitler’s dictatorship adapted to the challenges of war and how German society changed during the final years of the Nazi regime.

Using the enquiry question “How far did total war change Nazi Germany?”, students examine key developments including Albert Speer and armaments production, the mobilisation of the Nazi war economy, the changing impact of war on civilian morale and opposition to the Nazi regime

The bundle includes the following lessons:
L1 The Outbreak of War and Total War in Nazi Germany
L2 Albert Speer, Armaments Production and the Nazi War Economy
L3 The Changing Impact of War on German Society and Civilian Morale (Free Resource)
L4 Opposition to the Nazi Regime 1939–45.

Each lesson includes fully resourced PowerPoints, differentiated activities, source analysis, interpretation tasks and AQA A Level exam-style questions. Students are supported with model answers, writing guidance, mark schemes and structured activities designed to develop the analytical and evaluative skills needed to achieve the highest grades.
These resources are designed specifically for students studying AQA A Level History: Democracy and Nazism: Germany 1918–45, helping them develop a deeper understanding of Nazi Germany, the Second World War and the nature of totalitarian rule while preparing effectively for A Level examinations.
