Let’s Dress Up! is a fun, creative resource featuring six different costume characters, all made using a kitchen colander as the starting point for the headwear.
The resource includes:
• Pumpkin
• Elf
• Witch
• Scarecrow
• Astronaut
• Safari Explorer
Each character is shown in both black-and-white and a coloured version, making the resource useful for display, colouring, planning and costume inspiration.
Simple picture labels also give children and adults ideas for what to collect to make each costume, such as felt, fabric, tights, belts, bells, leaves, ribbon, cardboard and other easy-to-find craft materials.
Designed for EYFS and KS1, this resource encourages imaginative play, creativity, speaking and listening, role play and collaborative costume making.
It can be used for assemblies, drama activities, role-play areas, Christmas performances, Harvest celebrations, Halloween, themed days and other school events.
A simple way to show children how everyday objects can be transformed into imaginative costumes.
