Leprechaun trap STEAM challenge for Year 2 to Year 5 (KS1-KS2, Grades 1-4): a 14-page booklet of design, coding and puzzle tasks that gets pupils planning, building and testing a trap for a tiny, tricky leprechaun. A lively March activity for science, design and technology and maths.

Children learn what STEAM means, choose three tools for their trap, design it with an entrance, bait and trigger, and explain how it works. A coding challenge asks them to guide the leprechaun with an arrow code on a grid, and a code breaker and maze give extra puzzle practice. An emotions chart adds a little literacy and speaking.
