A no mess, no prep Fathers day or “special person” lesson that includes 2 easy activities to complete with your class.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:
Activity 1: Pencil Portrait with Personalised Border
Pupils draw a portrait of their special person from memory and surround it with a hand-drawn decorative border filled with symbols representing that person’s personality, hobbies and the things they share together. No two will look the same — and the results are the kind of thing that ends up on someone’s wall, not in the recycling bin.
Activity 2: Pocket Poem Booklet
Using a simple origami-style fold, pupils transform a single sheet of A4 paper into a beautiful 8-page handmade booklet filled with a personal poem, tiny illustrations and heartfelt messages. It fits in a pocket or wallet and costs nothing to make. The fold takes under 2 minutes and is fully explained step by step.

ALSO INCLUDED:
Step-by-step teacher instructions for both activities — clear enough for a supply teacher to pick up and deliver brilliantly
Pupil instruction cards for both activities — display on the board or print for desks
Examples of finished pupil work — so you and your class can see exactly what a great outcome looks like
Full SEN differentiation guide — strategies for fine motor needs, visual processing, autism and sensory needs, and lower attaining pupils
4 extension activities for early finishers
Pupil self-assessment sheet
Teacher assessment grid with a full Beginning / Developing / Achieved rubric

WHY THIS PACK WORKS
No paint. No glue. No water pots. No drying time. No trip to the art cupboard.
Both activities use only materials that are already in every classroom — pencil, eraser, black fine liner and plain white paper. That means you can download this at 8am and be teaching it by 9am. It also means no mess at the end of a busy last week of term, which every teacher knows is worth its weight in gold.
The results, despite the simplicity of the materials, are genuinely beautiful. Pupils produce something they are proud of and their special people receive something they will actually treasure.
