This free sampler has one task card and one procedure card from each of the 12 sets in my Job Site Task Card Series: Grocery Store, Fast Food Restaurant, Retail Store, Custodial, Hotel Housekeeping, Warehouse, Hospital Support, Office and Clerical, Childcare Aide, Landscaping, Animal Care, Food Prep. Use it to see how the cards work with your students before you choose the workplaces that suit your learners.

What’s included:
• 12 task sequence cards with 6 numbered steps each, one per workplace
• 12 procedure cards (“what is the rule here?) on workplace rules such as chemical safety, allergies, collection lists and forklifts
• Possible answers for every procedure card
• A list of every workplace and the 5 tasks in each full set

How I use it: model a task card, then have a student act it out while a partner reads the steps. Read one procedure card a day as a starter and ask, “What is the rule here, and who do you tell?

Each full set has 13 pages, including vocabulary cards, task cards, a safety sort, procedure cards, an on-the-job checklist and an answer key. Search for The Transition Cliff on ÌÇÐÄVlog to find them.

Who it is for: secondary SEND, post-16 and supported internship groups, job coaches and work experience staff. Written for US grades 9 to 12 (UK Years 10 to 13). Some American workplace terms are used.

What you download: one printable PDF, 5 pages, A4.

From the author of The Transition Map (Jeremy D. Gooch).

Written by Jeremy D. Gooch, a teacher with 20+ years in education. All student names and stories are made up.
