This resource includes essential music vocabulary that KS3 and KS4 can access. Included on the infographic is a short definition of each word and examples of how to describe them. These can be used in a variety of ways:

• As a scaffold for KS3/KS4 pupils when answering questions about music they can hear
• To support pupils in forming better quality answers to questions by providing them with vocabulary to choose from
• Provided within a portfolio or booklet for pupils to access at home and school
• Displayed around the classroom to help pupils during lessons

The poster/infographic provided is intended to support pupils when answering verbal or written questions by giving them words to use when describing music.
