This ready-to-print English test is designed for lower‑intermediate students aged 13–15 (grades 8–9). It focuses on core grammar, vocabulary, reading, and sentence construction – ideal for classroom assessment, homework, or exam preparation.

The test contains ten sections:

Pronunciation (10 questions distinguishing /g/ and /dʒ/ sounds in words like magic, gym, age, jungle, goose, gentle, July, bridge, etc.)

So vs. such (10 sentences completing degree expressions – so hot, such a talented singer, so scary, such a fast runner, etc.)

First conditional (10 sentences – “If she improves her skills, she can advance”)

Conversation ordering (11 sentences about career choices – veterinarian vs. artist/designer – to rearrange logically)

Reading comprehension (short article on future jobs in technology, healthcare, and environmental sectors; 5 open‑ended questions)

Sentence rearrangement (10 conditional sentences about job pathways – e.g., “If you learn how to sell things and talk to people nicely, you could get a job as a salesperson”)

Key topics: future careers, job vocabulary, urban issues (homelessness, traffic congestion), space exploration, education (tutor), public spaces (sidewalk, pedestrian), healthcare and animal care, renewable energy, and digital skills.

The test is fully editable and includes answers for all objective sections. No country‑specific references – suitable globally.
