In this activity, students will examine how Ying Zheng unified China after centuries of warfare during the Warring States period, exploring the methods he used to enforce control across his empire, from standardising writing and currency to confiscating weapons and executing dissenting scholars. They will also investigate the construction of the Great Wall, the emperor鈥檚 obsession with immortality, and the circumstances surrounding the collapse of the Qin Dynasty after his death.

It has 6 questions for students to answer, as well as a paragraph response section for them to聽demonstrate聽their understanding of the topic.
