Use this project to help build a class altar for Día de los Muertos. Students are required to pick someone to honor for Día de los Muertos and celebrate their life by bringing in a picture, a sugar skull, and an offering.

I’ve included 3 different versions of this project to fit three different levels of Spanish:

  • Spanish 1: Write 25 words using present tense

  • Spanish 2: Write 50 words using the preterite tense

  • Spanish 3: Write 120 words using the preterite and imperfect tenses

• Sugar_Skull_Box: a small craft project so that students have something to put on the ofrenda. It makes a box so they can add their offering inside.
