★ Starter: Recap the four countries of the UK and zoom in to Scotland. Children share what they already know before the teacher introduces key vocabulary such as capital city and parliament.
★ Main: Explore images of Edinburgh, the Highlands, mountains, lochs and famous landmarks. Children work in pairs to create a Scotland mini‑poster by matching fact cards to picture cards, with support and challenge options included.
★ Plenary: Quick picture‑matching quiz using the PowerPoint. Children share one new fact they have learned about Scotland.
