Teach the AQA GCSE Media Studies (8572) film industry CSPs with confidence, whether Media is your specialism or your surprise second subject. This complete unit covers BOTH targeted Media Industries CSPs, Black Widow (2021) and I, Daniel Blake (2016), in one place, built around the required comparison of the Hollywood blockbuster and the British independent film.

You get five ready-to-teach 60-minute PowerPoint lessons with full speaker notes (run sheets, timings, model answers and differentiation), plus a combined A4 student revision booklet that prints cleanly in black and white, with a full comparison summary and glossary.

It covers funding and production, marketing, distribution and exhibition, BBFC regulation, and conglomerate ownership and globalisation, with every named term: blockbuster, independent cinema, star power, director power, vertical and horizontal integration, convergence and cultural imperialism. Assessed on Paper 1 Section B. Pupils do not need to watch the films.

Check out my shop for units of work for all the CSPs for 2028. Each unit comes with lesson, a teachers guide and a studenst booklet that, when completed becomes an excellent revision resource.
