A focused GCSE history bingo activity designed to consolidate knowledge of opposition to the Nazi regime. This low-stakes recap task reinforces key terminology, factual detail and the limits of resistance in Nazi Germany while encouraging careful listening and contextual understanding.

Students match key terms to short explanatory statements covering political, religious, military and youth opposition, as well as reasons for widespread conformity. The activity works particularly well as an end-of-lesson recap, retrieval starter, or revision task within the Weimar & Nazi Germany unit.

The resource includes:

A bingo grid and numbered keyword list (14 key terms)

A second slide with teacher-read statements, each containing a missing word

Coverage of political opposition, Church opposition, youth resistance, censorship and propaganda

Opportunities for retrieval, formative assessment and discussion

Clear emphasis on the limited scale and impact of opposition to the Nazi regime

Designed for Edexcel GCSE Weimar & Nazi Germany, but easily adaptable for AQA, OCR and Eduqas. No printing required — students can complete the task on whiteboards or in books.
