This Power-Point was created to introduce the dictation GCSE task to Foundation and Higher Spanish students.

It incudes:

• An introduction to dictations in the exams (all the necessary information)
• Tips and strategies to tackle the dictation.
• Examples with grades so students can see what a good and a not so good answer look like.
• Markschemes handouts.
• Practice of the most tricky sounds in Spanish (with built-in audio!)
• Differenciated exercise to practice the actual dictation (foundation, overlap and higher), with built-in audio and all answers provided.
• ** Self-marking activities** to students learn how it is evaluated.
• Two extension activities: a translation and a short writing prompt.
• A worksheet with all exercises (dictations + extensions) to print and hand out to students.
