This ready-to-teach lesson allows students to reflect deeply on their own emotional journey, inspired by how Riley鈥檚 emotional world grows more complex across both Inside Out films.

Task 1 has students mapping out a their life so far- key events, emotions attached and how their reactions have changed over time. In practice this task alone can fill the lesson. There is a second task as a building block to think about who they want to be in the future.

This lesson series is written for Year 9 Psychology but can genuinely be used anywhere- PSHE, Wellbeing, tutor time, end of year filler lesson and more.

What鈥檚 included:

  • Fully editable PowerPoint with a starter, a clear learning objective, and two structured reflective tasks.
  • Built-in differentiation
  • Teacher notes and guidance throughout.

If you found this useful, please leave a quick review as it really helps me keep making valuable resources like this.

This is Lesson 4 of a 5 part series. Check out the other lessons in my ship, or grab the full bundle to save. None of the lessons need to be taught in order- use one, use all five or pick and choose.
