This lesson contains:

• An introduction to the Domesday Book using a YouTube video. There are follow up questions for discussion that makes sure the students are paying attention. There is then an activity to read the information and complete a few summary questions.
• A task to study the impact of the Book on William’s reign, then consolidate with an extension task.
• A final activity to answer how the Book gave William more power. They answer this on their worksheets. There is also an opportunity to answer a choice of two exam-style questions.
