Powerpoint and student worksheet. Powerpoint has about a lesson and half of content, if each lesson is around 50 minutes.

My students were year 8 mixed-low ability and were so engaged during this lesson - they loved it, so I thought I鈥檇 share!

The lesson:

  • Starter - picture analysis
  • Several slides - short and long term causes of French Revolution.
Students fill in sheets throughout lesson making notes on the short and long term causes, and the contemporary set up of society. Lots of images/key facts ****
  • Video linked to
  • Dear Diary activity - students imagine they are a peasant before the revolution. This was a great way to get students to engage with the facts, and get underneath the skin of them to understand what happened. I was so impressed with their creativity and understanding.

What鈥檚 included in this pack:
*

  • Full powerpoint for around an hour of teaching
  • Student鈥檚 worksheet to accompany lesson
