In this activity, students will examine the life and voyages of Captain James Cook, tracing his rise from a farm labourer’s son to one of Britain’s most celebrated naval explorers. They will also investigate the contested consequences of his Pacific expeditions, considering both the advances in European scientific knowledge and the impact on Indigenous communities.
