Develop children’s confidence with early addition using this engaging interactive “Hit the Button” style maths game, designed for EYFS and Year 1 learners. This browser-based resource provides a fun and motivating way for pupils to practise addition facts through fast-paced challenges, colourful visuals and instant feedback.

Children can choose from three levels of difficulty (numbers to 5, 10 and 20) before racing against a 30-second timer to answer as many addition questions as possible. Questions are generated randomly, ensuring every game is different and encouraging repeated play.

The game has been carefully designed to support developing mathematical understanding, with visual representations included for younger learners to build confidence before progressing to more abstract number calculations.

Pupils will learn and practise:
Adding two numbers accurately.
Recalling addition facts with increasing fluency.
Counting objects and recognising quantities.
Using visual representations to support calculation.
Matching numerals to quantities.
Developing number sense and confidence with addition.
Improving mental maths skills.
Building speed and accuracy through timed practice.
